Welcome to Home Medical Services

HOME MEDICAL SERVICES is a network of independent DME providers covering the state of North Carolina since 1997. The network model offers integrated care while maintaining a high quality of professional and ancillary services. This allows individual network providers to maintain their separate identities in the community while insurance beneficiaries are able to utilize the services of companies they know and trust on a local level.

HOME MEDICAL SERVICES presently serves over three million covered lives through contracts with major HMO's and insurance companies.

Our 39 locations represent the largest presence of any DME or respiratory company in the state of North Carolina. We are able to deliver equipment from Manteo to Murphy and all points in between! Each provider is fully accredited and is committed to providing services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

CPAP Lowers Blood Pressure and Heart Rate in Heart Failure Patients with OSA

Using CPAP to treat sleep apnea provides extra benefits for heart failure patients.

Results of a study show that the use of continuous positive airway pressure, CPAP, to treat obstructive sleep apnea provides extra benefits for heart failure patients. CPAP treatment also lowers blood pressure and produces a fall in heart rate, which reduces the work load for the heart.
